🔥 Usage & How It Works

How long does it take to heat food?
Most meals are ready in 20–30 minutes. We recommend plugging in at the start of your break or during your commute so your food is perfectly hot when you're ready to eat.

What types of food can I heat?
Rice, pasta, leftovers, stews, soups, vegetables, chicken, fish — anything you'd normally reheat in a microwave works perfectly in the HotDesk. The steam heating system keeps food moist and evenly heated throughout.

Can I use it to heat soup or liquids?
Yes. The leak-proof seal and deep stainless container make it suitable for soups, stews, porridge, and other liquids. Do not overfill above the max line.

Can I cook raw food in it?
The HotDesk is designed for reheating pre-cooked meals, not for cooking raw meat or fish from scratch. It heats to 80°C which is sufficient for reheating but not for safely cooking raw proteins.

🔌 Compatibility & Power

Does it come with a UK plug?
Yes. Every HotDesk ships with a standard UK 3-pin plug cable included. No adapter needed.

Can I use it in my car?
Yes. The box comes with a 12V car adapter cable that plugs directly into your car's cigarette lighter socket. Perfect for lorry drivers, delivery drivers, and long commutes.

Does it work in an office?
Yes — plug it into any standard UK wall socket (240V). It operates silently so it won't disturb colleagues in open-plan offices.

What voltage does it support?
The HotDesk supports 110–240V for home and office use, and 12V for car use. It works anywhere in the UK and Europe.

🧼 Cleaning & Maintenance

Is it easy to clean?
Very. The inner stainless steel container is removable and dishwasher-safe. The outer heating unit should be wiped with a damp cloth only — never submerge in water.

Is the stainless steel really food-grade 304?
Yes. The interior container is certified 304 food-grade stainless steel — the same standard used in professional kitchen equipment. No BPA, no plastic contact with your food, no odours.

Will it smell of plastic when I first use it?
A very faint smell may occur on the first 1–2 uses — this is normal and disappears completely after initial heating. We recommend heating it empty once before first use.

What's included in the box?
Every order includes the HotDesk Electric Lunch Box, an insulated carry bag, a UK mains cable, a 12V car adapter, and a stainless steel fork and spoon set.

How long does delivery take?
We deliver to all UK addresses within 7–14 business days. You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order is dispatched.

Do you ship outside the UK?
Currently we ship to UK addresses only. European shipping coming soon.

What if I'm not happy with my order?
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied for any reason, contact us and we'll arrange a full refund — no questions asked.

What if my product arrives damaged?
Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with a photo of the damage and we'll send a replacement immediately at no extra cost.

Is there a warranty?
Yes — the HotDesk comes with a 12-month warranty covering manufacturing defects.
